Job Summary

Dallas County seeks a skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to provide support for patients with behavioral or emotional conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health assessment and treatment, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe and record patient behavior to assess emotional and mental health status
  • Develop and implement behavioral treatment strategies tailored to individual patient needs
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community resources to facilitate referrals for specialized treatment as necessary
  • Provide guidance and support to patients and their families throughout the treatment process
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements

Requirements

  • Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Behavioral Science, or a related field of study
  • Two years of experience, including one year of experience in behavioral health assessment and treatment
  • Independently licensed in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Working Conditions

Standard office environment. Ability to travel to various work site locations.
