Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as a coordinator for the workforce incentive program. This role entails reviewing program applications for completeness, securing additional information as necessary, and supporting various workforce programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process program applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Secure additional information as necessary to support program applications
  • Support the Behavioral Health Loan Repayment, Nursing Preceptorship, and Dental Loan Repayment programs
  • Submit application packets for final administrative approval
  • Conduct extensive communication with external parties, including workforce recipients, attorneys, employers, and other stakeholders
  • Research files and service obligations for workforce incentive program recipients
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry for applicants and recipients in the workforce database and files
  • Generate reports for workforce programs, grants, constituents, and management
  • Review employment verification for all workforce incentive program recipients
  • Generate letters and memos to participants and the Virginia Department of Health administration

Requirements

  • Knowledge and/or experience with administration, planning, service delivery, and evaluation of principles and practices that support reporting, surveillance, and quality assurance for public health initiatives
  • Knowledge and experience conducting studies and research, providing technical training, developing and communicating information, ensuring compliance with policy and regulations, and maintaining documentation
  • Knowledge and/or experience with data collection and analysis, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and producing reports
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and providing recommendations for problem resolution
  • Experience working as part of a team, responding to inquiries in a professional and timely manner, interpreting and applying policies and procedures, and preparing correspondence
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication, organizational, time management, analytical, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
