Job Description:Purchasing/Inventory Administrator

The Purchasing/Inventory Administrator will play a crucial role in coordinating with vendors, negotiating prices, tracking inventory, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently as part of a larger team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage purchase and shipping requests, including invoices, and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify and contact vendors to meet project needs, and negotiate prices to ensure optimal value.
  • Maintain purchasing information, files, and records, and register new vendors as needed.
  • Request quotations for comparison and price negotiation with vendors, and prepare required documents for order requests.
  • Actively follow up on the status of purchase orders, and communicate with vendors regarding delivery schedules and timelines.
  • Receive new orders, enter them into the JIRA system, and maintain the life cycle of the system.
  • Maintain a Confluence space for the group, documenting HR, Legal, and Project-related information.
  • Provide administrative support to the lead and management of the lab, including HR tasks, employee relations, and team events.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Accounting for invoicing and payment processing, and drive physical audits and inventory management.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and receive incoming shipments, ensuring accurate delivery and quantities.
  • Perform ad hoc requests as directed by on-site management, and maintain business relationships to meet and exceed client expectations.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Korean-English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • A 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience is highly preferred.
  • More than 5 years of purchasing and inventory management experience.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and expand knowledge.
  • Proficient knowledge of Confluence, Microsoft Windows, and Linux OS types.
  • Hands-on, self-starter with multiple task management skills.
  • Administrative experience and solid spreadsheet skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks and deliverables within expected timelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and willingness to follow procedures.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Able to multitask in high-pressure situations and take ownership of projects.
