Job Title: Inventory Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our team at Geopaq Logic. As an Inventory Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing lab inventory, purchasing, and shipping requests, as well as maintaining purchasing information files and records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage lab inventory, including receiving and processing new orders, and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.
  • Process purchasing and shipping requests, including identifying and contacting vendors, and negotiating prices.
  • Maintain purchasing information files and records, including new vendor registration and quotation requests.
  • Prepare and submit order requests, and work closely with the Finance and Purchasing team to complete internal PO processes.
  • Actively follow up on the status of POs, and communicate with vendors on ETA and delivery schedules.
  • Receive new orders and enter them into the JIRA system for tracking purposes, and maintain the life cycle of the JIRA system.
  • Maintain a Confluence space for the group, including documentation of HR, Legal, and Project-related information.
  • Provide administrative support to the lead and management of the lab, including performing HR tasks, such as onboarding and offboarding, and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Organize and support team events, and collaborate with the Finance and Accounting team for invoicing and payment processing.
  • Drive physical audits, and perform regular inventory and asset management tasks.
  • Prepare and coordinate the receipt of incoming shipments, and compare packing lists with purchase details to ensure accurate quantities are received.
  • Perform ad-hoc requests as directed by onsite management, and collaborate and maintain business relationships to meet and exceed client expectations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience highly preferred.
  • Five years of purchasing and inventory management experience.
  • Administrative experience and solid spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a professional and courteous manner with technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Strong technical analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks and deliverables within expected timelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and willingness to learn and be flexible about following procedures.
  • Able to work independently as part of a larger team in a global organization.
  • Able to multitask in high-pressure situations and take ownership of projects and tasks from planning to deployment and post-deployment support.

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to learn new technologies with an interest in expanding and applying this knowledge as new technologies emerge.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to move servers to and from the main DC to the colocation and labs.
  • Proficient knowledge of Confluence, Microsoft Windows, Linux OS types.
