Role Overview
The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC)/Charge RN plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. In this position, you will demonstrate outstanding clinical care, customer service, and critical thinking skills. You will manage schedules, foster relationships, and utilize your organizational abilities to lead your team effectively.

The PCC will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating with a dedicated team in an 18-bed unit. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac conditions, patients on bipap machines, and individuals requiring vasoactive drips, encompassing both surgical and medical cases. Some patients may need a higher level of intensive care.

Key Qualifications
  • Proven relationship-building, communication, and teamwork skills, maintaining a positive attitude and composed demeanor; adept at multitasking with excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities; capable of delegating tasks, critical thinking, and managing challenging situations professionally.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program recognized by the National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA), or possess three years of relevant nursing experience. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Indiana as per the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in a specialty area or related field is preferred.
