Role Overview: The Healthcare Customer Service Specialist collaborates with healthcare providers and clinical teams to address patients' administrative requirements. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive the exemplary service and care they deserve through effective communication via phone interactions. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing incoming calls and accurately documenting messages.
  • Coordinating appointment scheduling and referrals.
  • Verifying insurance eligibility and patient demographic information using our electronic medical record system.
  • Processing and reconciling payments received.

Qualifications: Candidates for this position should possess strong listening and communication abilities, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate excellent multitasking skills. Key qualifications include:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting or two years in customer service.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
  • Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of web-based applications, Excel, Word, and email.
