About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our Bike Fleet department at Citibikenyc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities and managing the performance of our Mechanics team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the routing of our Field Team to conduct bike repairs and ensure the bike fleet receives regular inspections.
  • Develop and implement scheduling and daily management of both field and depot-based technicians.
  • Lead the hiring process for core bike mechanic members, including interviewing, onboarding, and training management.
  • Ensure safety-related processes are in place and that all staff follow appropriate safety procedures within field operations, pre/post shift safety checks, and warehouse operations.
  • Track and maintain inventory for field and warehouse operations, tools, and supplies, in collaboration with our Inventory Management team.
  • Conduct metrics tracking, analyze results, and generate output reports, including those on bike status, system events, and rebalancing data.
About You

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced in managing large-scale inventory.
  • Skilled in creating and managing training programs for mechanical employees.
  • Adaptable and able to think creatively to solve problems.
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
