Fleet Sales Director

At Cover Whale, we're revolutionizing commercial trucking insurance with technology at its core. We're seeking a seasoned Fleet Sales Leader to replicate our success for larger fleets, driving growth and expansion across the country.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership: Lead and manage the fleet business, focusing on growth and expansion.
- Business Development: Cultivate strong relationships with retail and wholesale brokers, growing a book of business up to $20 million in the first year.
- Program Management: Oversee trucking fleet distribution, logistics, and program management, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Team Management: Work closely with underwriting, customer service, and claims teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Sales: Drive the submission process, generating and closing new business, aligning with the company's strategic initiatives.
- Marketing: Develop a unique brand and message around Cover Whale's Fleet offering, in conjunction with the Chief Revenue Officer and marketing team.
- Technology Integration: Promote and implement technology-driven solutions, enhancing underwriting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Reporting: Regularly report on key performance metrics, business growth, and team performance to the Chief of Revenue and executive leadership team.
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5+ years' experience in Commercial Fleet Insurance.
- Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the trucking insurance market.
- Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers.
- Leadership & Team Management: Ability to provide strategic and tactical leadership to cross-functional teams.
- Business Acumen: Strong strategic thinking skills, identifying market opportunities to grow the business.
- Sales-Driven Mindset: Producer profile with a focus on getting submission flow and new business generation.
- Technological Savvy: Understanding of the benefits of technology in insurance.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, financial reports, and risk assessments.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ownership and Accountability: Strong sense of accountability.

Compensation: The base annual salary range for this role is $150,000-$210,000, depending on location and experience, and includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and other Cover Whale-sponsored benefits.
