Job Summary

As a Front Desk Manager at Marriott International Inc, you will play a key role in leading and assisting with the successful completion of daily shift requirements. This entry-level management position is responsible for overseeing the front office areas, including Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, and Guest Services/Front Desk. Your primary goal will be to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while achieving the operating budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of the Front Desk team by utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service performance and achieve guest satisfaction goals.
  • Participate in department meetings and communicate a clear and consistent message regarding the Front Desk goals.
  • Support the training of staff on adherence to all credit policies and procedures to reduce bad debts and rebates.
  • Understand the impact of Front Desk operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in the guest services, front desk, or related professional area.
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.
