About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Paid Search to join our team at Assembly. As a key member of our digital marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive search engine marketing (SEM) strategies to drive business growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute SEM Strategies: Create and implement SEM plans that align with business objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Manage Paid Search Campaigns: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of large-scale paid search campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with digital media channel stakeholders to understand and execute integrated media solutions.
  • Lead and Mentor a Team: Lead, train, and mentor a team of 4-6 search specialists to ensure the success of live media campaigns, analyze data, and provide optimization recommendations.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure high-quality services align with team strategy and business goals.
  • Optimize and Report on Campaign Performance: Analyze key performance metrics, provide insights, and recommend improvements to drive campaign success.
  • Present Campaign Results: Present quarterly business reviews (QBRs), monthly, and weekly reports to stakeholders, highlighting campaign performance and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • 7+ Years of SEM Experience: Proven track record of success in search engine marketing, with a deep understanding of SEM technology and platforms.
  • 2-3 Years of Team Management Experience: Experience in leading and mentoring teams, with a focus on developing and executing comprehensive search engine marketing strategies.
  • Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both in written documents and verbal interactions.
  • Strong Understanding of SEM Technology: In-depth knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and SA360, with experience in managing and driving performance on budget and within efficiency goals for e-commerce sales-focused paid search performance programs.
  • Experience with Large Budget SEM Management: Proven ability to manage and drive performance on large budgets, with a focus on efficiency and ROI.
