Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Children's Health (Dallas). As a key member of our respiratory therapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of making life better for children.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients in a pediatric critical care setting, utilizing the respiratory care process to deliver developmentally appropriate care.
  • Work effectively with the healthcare team, including family members, to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Perform a range of respiratory care procedures, including ventilation management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in respiratory care.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of pediatric critical care experience.
  • Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • BLS certification required; NRP (Plano and NICU core) 180 days required; PALS certification preferred.
  • RRT recognized by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and active Texas license required; RRT-NPS recognized by the NBRC (preferred for CT OR) 24 months.
