Job Title: Facilities Manager

At Tripalink, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and functionality of all facilities within our Varsity Campus.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Management:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance program for all campus facilities, ensuring timely completion of work orders and repairs.
  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations, coordinating and supervising maintenance staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them proactively.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all facilities meet or exceed safety regulations and codes, developing and implementing safety protocols, procedures, and training for maintenance staff.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections and address any issues promptly, collaborating with relevant campus departments to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Vendor Management:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure prompt and efficient services, soliciting and evaluating bids for repairs, upgrades, and renovation projects.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure timely completion of work within budget.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage the facilities maintenance budget effectively, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
  • Track expenses, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to the management team.
  • Capital Planning and Project Management:
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop long-term capital plans for facility improvements and upgrades, managing construction and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Liaise with architects and contractors to provide input during design and construction phases.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a team of maintenance staff.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management software and other relevant technology tools.
