We are seeking an exceptional Sports Coach to join our team at the Diocese of Orlando. As a key member of our coaching staff, you will play a vital role in instructing students or individual players in the fundamentals of sports or a specific sport.

Job Summary

The Athletic Coach will be responsible for:




  • Educating individuals, students, or teams on the rules, strategies, and techniques for a sport or sports.
  • Planning, organizing, and leading practice sessions.
  • Training, encouraging, and motivating athletes to prepare them for games and competitive events.
  • Teaching safety rules and regulations and ensuring they are enforced.
  • Developing physical conditioning programs that equip athletes to meet their potential.
  • Evaluating team members to determine fitness levels and potential; assigning positions or roles to athletes based on strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ensuring athletes are using equipment properly and safely.
  • Identifying the strengths and weaknesses of players and modifying coaching strategies accordingly.
  • Remaining current on changes in rules, coaching philosophies, and techniques, and technology relevant to a particular sport or sports.

  • An appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings.


Please note that a Catholic faith is required for this role. You will be expected to conduct yourself in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church.



Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
