Softball Coach

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Softball Coach to join our team at Brevard Public Schools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coaching and a passion for developing young athletes.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching the Z JV Softball team, developing and implementing game plans, and providing guidance and support to student-athletes. Additionally, the coach will be responsible for maintaining a safe and positive team environment, promoting sportsmanship, and adhering to school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited program/university in a relevant subject area and a Florida Instructional Certification (any subject). Preferred qualifications include a Professional 5-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate issued by the State of Florida Department of Education or eligibility to apply upon extension of offer. Two years of documented sport-specific and age-level coaching experience are required, with a strong emphasis on leadership skills and the management of large groups of students/athletes. Preferred candidates will have three to five years of coaching experience and a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
