Job Summary

We are seeking highly qualified candidates for a Clinical Faculty position in Hematology/Oncology and Hospital Medicine at Augusta University. The successful candidate will be a member of the Division of Hospital Medicine and will work closely with nursing, care coordination, nutrition, physician assistants, and other clinical disciplines to develop best practice guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement best practice guidelines for patient care in Hematology/Oncology and Hospital Medicine.
  • Collaborate with nursing, care coordination, nutrition, physician assistants, and other clinical disciplines to improve patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and teach physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
  • Contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives and research projects.
  • Participate in departmental and institutional committees as needed.
Requirements
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine by the AOBIM/ABIM or board eligibility with the ability to become board certified within five years.
  • Experience in Hematology/Oncology and Hospital Medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in quality improvement and research.
  • Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements.
  • Experience in teaching and mentoring.
