Job Overview

Malace|HR is in search of a skilled HVAC Mobile Maintenance Technician. This position involves working during the day shift and offers a competitive hourly wage. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for supporting the operation, inspection, and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within designated facilities. This role includes both assisting in maintenance and repair tasks as well as independently executing defined responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Duties

  • Execute ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work orders on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other installed systems and equipment.
  • Oversee the operation and repair of all HVAC systems and related equipment, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems, as well as building interior and exterior repairs.
  • Conduct facility inspections and due diligence, reporting on conditions that may affect client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Perform general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture.
  • Assist in moving office furniture, machinery, and other materials as required.
  • Replace lighting fixtures and ballasts as needed.
  • Clean HVAC coils and change filters and belts.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Safety Protocols

  • Conduct Hazard Assessments as required.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, ensuring cleanliness and safety in work areas while identifying and proposing solutions for hazards.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant State, County, or City regulations.
  • Complete all mandatory safety training sessions.
  • Practice safe driving habits at all times.
  • Follow policies for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

Driving Requirements

  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license (if applicable).

Administrative Tasks

  • Submit daily P-card receipts.
  • Update work order statuses in real-time.
  • Utilize CMMS systems for all work performed.
  • Conduct vehicle safety inspections.
  • Report issues to management and clients promptly.
  • Participate in work and safety meetings as necessary.

Additional Duties

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: 3rd Party Certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, and overhead work.
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods.
  • Climbing ladders up to 30 feet.
