Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician

At FedEx Ground, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vehicle fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain heavy-duty vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts
- Perform routine maintenance inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Diagnose and repair complex problems with vehicle systems and components
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Collaborate with other technicians and maintenance staff to achieve team goals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, including brakes, electrical, and powertrain
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate vehicles
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas and varying weather conditions
- Exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise
- May be required to drive service van to off-site locations
Compensation:
Starting rate of pay: $35.12/hour
