Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Alamo Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing service and repair procedures on truck-mounted vacuum equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Effectively read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
  • Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, vacuum body, hydraulic, electrical, air, and water systems
  • Conduct all repairs within DOT or OEM standards and service to return rental equipment Ready to Rent status
  • Perform and document check-in and check-out inspections of fleet equipment
  • Maintain and organize shop and storage areas ensuring proper storage of flammable items

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum three (3) years, verifiable experience as a mechanic
  • Experience with truck-mounted vacuum equipment preferred
