Position Overview

The Patient Registration Associate plays a crucial role in the healthcare delivery system by managing patient appointments, providing financial guidance, and overseeing the registration process. This position is vital for ensuring that medical records are accurately maintained and that patients receive the highest level of service during their visits to the Ambulatory Care Clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate patient appointment scheduling and ensure efficient registration processes.
  • Provide financial counseling to patients, helping them understand their billing options.
  • Maintain and update medical records with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Act as a receptionist, managing incoming calls and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Perform various administrative and clerical tasks to support clinic operations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a billing course is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare clerical role is desirable.
  • Proficient in English with clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong data processing, computer, and typing abilities.
  • Ability to interact positively with patients, staff, and other departments.
  • Capability to maintain composure and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
