Acquisitions Specialist

Job Summary:
">We are seeking an experienced Acquisitions Specialist to join our team at the City of Arlington. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring supplies, materials, and equipment while ensuring competitive prices and quality standards.

- Evaluate specifications, research, and prepare bid documents for state-prescribed items, conduct bid openings, assess responses, and provide written recommendations for City Council award.">
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve disputes related to specification development, product requirements, delivery, invoicing, and other procurement-related issues.">
- Develop training programs to educate city personnel on purchasing procedures, contract administration, and dispute resolution.">
- Maintain accurate records of procurements, contracts, and vendor interactions.">
Requirements:
">A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required. Two years of experience in purchasing, preferably through competitive bidding and specification preparation, is also necessary. Additionally, excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
">The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This compensation package reflects the competitive market rates for skilled professionals in this field.
