Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the entire accounts payable process across multiple locations, ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role involves managing invoices, performing check runs, maintaining bank note schedules, reconciling bank accounts, and entering accruals in accordance with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the accounts payable process for multiple locations by entering invoices, managing invoice approvals with department managers, and processing check runs.
  • Reconcile payroll and bank accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee the AP month-end close process, including accruals in accordance with GAAP.
  • Maintain equipment note schedules with our lenders.
  • Report and remit sales and other tax to applicable states.
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure proper general ledger coding.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and implement process improvements within the AP function.
Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience handling accounts payable for multiple locations is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll and bank reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
