Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of patient information and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign accurate Medical Record Numbers (MRNs) and complete medical necessity/compliance checks
  • Provide proper patient instructions and collect insurance information
  • Process physician orders and utilize an overlay tool to ensure accurate and timely processing
  • Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls
  • Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service to patients and families
  • Conduct audits of accounts and ensure accuracy and timeliness of forms and data
  • Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits and collect point-of-service collections and past due balances
  • Explain general consent for treatment forms to patients and obtain necessary signatures
  • Review eligibility responses in insurance verification systems and select applicable insurance plan codes
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification required within 6 months of hire
