Position Overview: We are in search of a Senior Vice President for our expanding Accounting & Reporting Advisory (ARA) division. This role presents an opportunity to provide a range of financial and accounting advisory services, including technical accounting, public company readiness, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), finance integration and separation, financial reporting, controllership, and internal controls for financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients from startups to large publicly traded firms across various industries.
- Oversee the daily execution of Accounting & Reporting Advisory projects, focusing on research and the preparation of client deliverables.
- Conduct and review account reconciliations and manage communications with client vendors.
- Analyze complex contracts and perform related technical accounting research.
- Draft accounting memoranda and establish policies.
- Identify appropriate journal entries and manage operational accounting issues.
- Prepare financial statements, including footnotes and disclosures.
- Research SEC filing requirements and develop supporting accounting schedules and audit support materials.
- Act as a subject matter expert for post-acquisition integration, demonstrating knowledge of standard integration management practices.
- Lead or assist in identifying recommendations for enhancing finance functions across various processes.
- Serve as a technical accounting expert for the valuation practice, providing research and support as needed.
- Manage daily accounting operations for clients, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and journal entry preparation.
- Engage in business development activities, including client proposals and pursuits.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies and innovate processes across multiple projects.
- Interact with finance-focused ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, SAP, Oracle).
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including purchase accounting, derivatives, complex debt and equity securities, stock-based compensation, revenue recognition, and lease accounting.
- Experience in financial statement preparation.
- Ability to interpret complex accounting standards and translate them into practical applications.
- Extensive experience with M&A transactions, particularly in post-acquisition integration.
- Preferred experience with AICPA and PCAOB-level audit readiness.
- Experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on client service.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
- Familiarity with accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, and Expensify.
- Relationship-oriented with clients, peers, and management.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance processes or transformation.
- Proven expertise in sectors such as manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, healthcare, and financial services.
- Combination of audit and advisory experience is preferred.
- Experience with post-acquisition transactions is a plus.
- CPA designation is preferred.
