Position Overview

Finite Engineering is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer specializing in Control Systems to spearhead the development and management of a new Controls division within our distinguished organization. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a team of highly skilled engineers, driving innovation and excellence in our engineering projects.

The successful candidate will possess a robust background in engineering control systems, with expertise in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical domains. Essential skills include team leadership, project oversight, and client engagement. The starting compensation is $120,000 annually, complemented by additional commission opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Controls engineering team
  • Provide expert guidance on control systems and design initiatives
  • Develop and manage project timelines and plans
  • Collaborate with team members to refine internal processes
  • Promote quality initiatives to enhance our control systems offerings
  • Establish and uphold control standards and practices
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Review and provide insights on control and electrical project components
  • Engage with clients and suppliers to define product and design specifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Proficient in:
    • Team leadership
    • Client relationship management
    • Project management
    • Distributed control systems
    • System design
    • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
    • AutoCAD Electrical or SOLIDWORKS Electrical
    • Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley suite, Inductive Automation Ignition, or Wonderware software
    • Debugging
