Position Overview

The Senior Systems Engineer will be accountable for the deployment, maintenance, and management of IT services, encompassing network infrastructure, cybersecurity measures, email systems, and disaster recovery protocols. A strong background in Windows systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support network and storage systems, including SAN, clustering, load balancing, multi-site VPNs, network intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and application delivery/virtualization solutions such as Citrix.
  • Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot multi-site Linux/UNIX and Windows-based application environments for both on-premises and cloud clients.
  • Collaborate directly with clients to address issues, coordinate updates, and offer insights on best practices at the system level.
  • Support enterprise database management systems, particularly MS-SQL.
  • Perform fundamental Windows or Linux administration tasks, including patch management, server role configuration, and software installation.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and ISO 27000 series security and privacy governance frameworks while implementing and securing client environments.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and direction to technical team members.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Infrastructure and Networking, with foundational knowledge of VMware and critical DNS.
  • At least 5 years of experience with SQL Server enterprise database systems, including installation, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing and troubleshooting server systems within WAN/LAN environments.
  • Familiarity with IT standards, concepts, best practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively in a client-focused, time-sensitive environment.
  • Proven capability to lead and mentor team members.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and conceptual thinking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the Windows Server Platform and enterprise management.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
