Position: Building Mechanical Systems Engineer - HVAC/Plumbing

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to relevant codes and standards throughout project execution.
- Develop and manage timelines for mid to large-scale projects.
- Oversee project team responsibilities including scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
- Contribute to the development of HVAC and plumbing system documentation (specifications, drawings, calculations, and design basis) for new constructions and renovations.
- Facilitate collaboration with various disciplines, clients, and contractors during project phases.
- Provide mentorship and share expertise with team members.
- Supervise the generation and evaluation of project energy modeling and life cycle cost analysis using industry-standard software.
- Direct the creation of detailed 2D drawings (including P&IDs, control diagrams, and annotations) utilizing REVIT.
- Conduct construction phase services including review of submissions and responses to inquiries.
- Deliver presentations to diverse groups, including clients, colleagues, contractors, and end users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Familiarity with building mechanical codes and proficiency in performing precise load calculations.
- Robust design skills in HVAC/Plumbing for industrial, commercial, and central plant environments.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the federal sector.
- Background in European, General MILCON, or Civil Works projects.
- Expertise in Building Controls Systems Design and Building Automation.
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling.
Education Requirement: A bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program is essential. All candidates must be prepared to fulfill pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include background checks and drug screening, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
