Fire Safety Systems Engineer

Position Summary:
Remedi8 Holdings Corp. is in search of a talented and knowledgeable Fire Protection Engineer who is adept in AutoCAD. The successful candidate will take charge of the design, evaluation, and supervision of fire safety systems, ensuring adherence to local, state, and national fire safety regulations. This position demands a robust technical foundation in fire protection engineering, particularly in employing AutoCAD for the creation of design schematics and drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Drafting: Create comprehensive designs for fire protection systems, including fire alarm and sprinkler systems, utilizing AutoCAD.
- Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee that all designs meet relevant fire codes, standards, and regulations such as NFPA, IBC, and local building codes.
- System Evaluation: Conduct hydraulic calculations, fire risk assessments, and egress analysis to identify suitable fire protection strategies.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering professionals to incorporate fire protection systems into overall building designs.
- Plan Submission: Prepare and submit fire protection plans for evaluation and approval by local authorities.
- Site Inspections: Perform site visits to verify that fire protection systems are installed according to approved designs and specifications.
- Technical Assistance: Offer technical support and advice to construction teams during the installation and commissioning of fire protection systems.
- Documentation Management: Maintain precise and current project documentation, including design calculations, system specifications, and as-built drawings.
- Continuous Learning: Keep abreast of the latest fire protection technologies, codes, and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in fire protection engineering, emphasizing design and drafting with AutoCAD.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of NFPA codes, standards, and fire protection principles.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with all organizational levels, clients, and staff.
- Capability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic and critical thinking abilities in a dynamic environment.
- Effective collaboration skills, both internally and externally.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.

Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- EIT (Engineer in Training) or PE (Professional Engineer) license preferred. NICET certification in fire protection is advantageous.
