Position Overview:

As a pivotal business partner, you will play a significant role in driving the transformation of regional Support Functions. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and advocate for the IS project portfolio within a business-related domain for which you will oversee execution and regional deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: You will manage relationships across various functions including Human Resources, Finance, Purchasing, Legal, and Communication.
  • Leadership: Act as a leader among all IS resources involved in project deliveries, providing guidance and supervisory support to ensure alignment with commitments.
  • Coaching: Serve as a coach or mentor for other regional portfolio managers or project leaders.
  • Staffing Participation: Engage in the staffing of project leaders.
  • Functional Management: Manage and mentor project leaders assigned to the projects under your accountability.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Establish strong partnerships with internal stakeholders relevant to the domain in the region.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the global portfolio manager by contributing to the global portfolio definition and execution, providing regional status updates, and disseminating relevant global portfolio information.

Portfolio Definition:

  • Collaborate with key regional stakeholders to define a global portfolio roadmap, including content, ambitions, macro timelines, and budget estimates.
  • Provide project budget inputs to IS Leadership and Executive Sponsors for regional projects and deployments.
  • Assist in translating and organizing the regional components of the defined roadmap into project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Support the communication of the vision and portfolio to IS and stakeholders in the region.

Portfolio Execution:

  • Oversee portfolio execution from opportunity identification to project completion and deployment within the region.
  • Manage the scoping phase to define budget and planning estimates, as well as quality targets for projects and deployments.
  • Ensure project delivery adheres to commitments regarding scope, deliverables, costs, and timelines.
  • Provide inputs for capacity planning and secure staffing in collaboration with IS Domain Managers and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in vendor management, including RFP/vendor selection and performance follow-up.
  • Manage fixed-price resources involved in projects.
  • Ensure user adoption in projects is defined and measured.

Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years of experience in program or project management within IT or any Support Function.
  • High school diploma/GED with at least 9 years of experience in program or project management in IT or any Support Function is also acceptable.
  • Experience in a regulated environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in a global organization is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, along with leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, active listening, organizational awareness, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present projects, challenges, and opportunities to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Capability to lead internal cross-cultural and transversal groups in a global environment.
