This role requires a high level of expertise in financial recovery and portfolio management, with a focus on ensuring timely and accurate management of loans in the bankruptcy process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high-performing bankruptcy portfolio on an independent basis, prioritizing and handling multiple projects with competing time constraints.
  • Monitor and delegate work performed by external counsel to ensure bankruptcy timelines are met, while maintaining a strong working relationship with outside counsel, trustees, and bankruptcy courts.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of financial recovery strategies and best practices, with a focus on protecting the assets of SPS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring department productivity standards are met or exceeded.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned, with a focus on supporting the growth and success of SPS.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in call center, bankruptcy, mortgage, or foreclosure management, with a strong understanding of financial recovery principles.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, with a focus on maintaining department productivity standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail-oriented project management.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on professional, courteous, friendly, warm, empathetic, level-headed, and composed communication.

Principal Outcomes/Accountabilities of Job Direct Reports:

This role is responsible for protecting the assets of SPS, owned and serviced, through timely and accurate management of loans in the bankruptcy process.
