Overview of the Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) Role

HopeHealth is on the lookout for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our esteemed HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care team. This role focuses on delivering exceptional nursing care at the Hulitar Hospice Center.

The selected candidate will provide professional nursing services to patients, families, and caregivers, adhering to physician directives and complying with state regulations and organizational policies. Under the guidance of the Patient Care Manager, the RN will ensure high-quality care is delivered with a sense of urgency and meticulous attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities of the Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Welcome and admit patients and families to the Inpatient Unit with professionalism and compassion.
  • Deliver nursing care by employing the nursing process, coordinating patient care from assessment to discharge.
  • Assess and evaluate patient status through collaborative planning with patients, caregivers, and primary health professionals.
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and ensure all necessary documentation is completed in line with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Implement and manage medication and treatment orders as prescribed by physicians.
  • Maintain effective communication regarding patient care with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Document patient conditions and care provided accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with confidentiality policies.
  • Monitor patient conditions for changes and communicate these to the attending physician and supervisory staff.
  • Facilitate activities of daily living for patients, promoting self-sufficiency and comfort.
  • Participate in precepting new staff during the initial months of employment.
Qualifications for the Registered Nurse Position
  • Current RN license; BSN preferred.
  • 1-3 years of relevant nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • Experience in home care or related fields is advantageous.
