Position Overview for Hospice Aide (CNA)

HopeHealth Hospice and Palliative Care is in search of a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to enhance our compassionate hospice team.

This role involves delivering care to patients at our inpatient hospice facility.

The responsibilities of a hospice aide are determined and organized by a registered nurse to fulfill the needs of patients and their families.

The hospice aide is responsible for providing personal care in line with the established care plan.

Key Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):
  • Deliver personal care services
  • Monitor, report, and document patient conditions and care rendered
  • Support patients, families, and caregivers through continuous communication
  • Adhere to basic infection control protocols
  • Identify and report changes in patient conditions to the IPU RN
  • Recognize emergencies and apply emergency procedures effectively
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and family information
Qualifications for the CNA Role:
  • Certification as a Nurse Aide
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
