About the Role of Hospice Aide (CNA)
HopeHealth Hospice and Palliative Care is on the lookout for a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to become a vital part of our compassionate hospice team.
This role involves delivering care to patients residing at our inpatient hospice facility.
The responsibilities of a hospice aide are determined and organized by a registered nurse to address the needs of both patients and their families.
The hospice aide offers personal care in alignment with the pre-established care plan.
This is a part-time night position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring every other weekend, and comes with eligibility for benefits.
Key Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):
- Deliver personal care services
- Monitor, report, and document patient conditions and the care administered
- Provide ongoing support to patients, families, and caregivers through effective communication
- Adhere to basic infection control protocols
- Identify and report changes in patient conditions to the inpatient unit registered nurse
- Recognize emergencies and apply appropriate emergency procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and family information
Qualifications for the CNA Role:
- Certification as a Nurse Aide
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
