Senior Director, Engineering - Technical Transformation

We're seeking a seasoned leader to drive our technical transformation and modernization efforts. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll be responsible for defining our tech transformation strategy and roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, and developing key metrics to track our progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define goals and objectives for Tripadvisor's Tech Transformation and Modernization efforts
  • Partner with Engineering leadership to assess the current tech environment and processes, identify areas of opportunity, and prioritize investments based on our business strategy
  • Develop and maintain a detailed strategic roadmap for Tech Transformation and Modernization
  • Identify key metrics, establish a baseline, track progress, and continuously monitor the Modernization investments to ensure they're delivering results and providing positive return on investment
  • Manage Tech Transformation-related communication, including milestones, announcements, release notes, migration strategy, and ROI
Requirements:
  • Strong technical background with 15+ years of proven experience in planning, executing, and delivering product and platform strategies in complex organizational environments
  • Experience with technical transformation and modernization investments at scale
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to all levels of the organization
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop technical transformation roadmaps aligning technical initiatives with business goals and product strategy
