Job Description

GE Vernova is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Americas Technical Sales to lead our Americas Technical Sales team. This is a critical role that requires a strong commercial awareness, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to influence the development of strategy for Americas technical sales team.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of leadership and management experience in sales and/or sales engineering consulting, with a strong understanding of key business factors and the ability to present business vision of GridOS to Executive and C-Level individuals.

The Senior Director of Americas Technical Sales will be responsible for defining the plan for the Technical Solutions Consulting team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align to Sales goals, and developing and driving the vision, priorities, and core value pillars to drive efficiency and cohesion across the team.

The successful candidate will have a strong sense of urgency, be able to work under pressure, and have a keen operational sense to identify gaps and implement process where necessary. They will also be able to manage workload and shift from project to project, as needed, and have a solid understanding of office productivity tools.

The role requires 50+% travel, with proximity to a major airport preferred. The ideal candidate will be a coach and mentor to team members, with clear and regular career coaching and feedback.

The Senior Director of Americas Technical Sales will be responsible for assembling a world-class Technical Sales team through recruiting and retaining top Solutions Consulting talent, developing relationships with trusted technology partners, and building, implementing, and scaling processes as necessary for the growth and benefit of the team's success.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process, be able to present solutions architecture based on customer needs, and drive solution-based selling. They will also be able to assist Sales in lead generation, account development, and close sales opportunities, and work with Sales and Practice Leaders to produce necessary materials to support sales demos, presentations, and workshops.

The role requires a strong sense of confidence and maturity, with the ability to work in an open, fast-paced, results-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and present solutions architecture based on customer needs

Requirements:

  • 10+ years experience proven leadership & management experience in sales and/or sales engineering consulting
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to present business vision of GridOS to Executive and C-Level individuals
  • Strong sense of urgency, able to work under pressure, and keen operational sense to identify gaps and implement process where necessary
  • Ability to manage workload and shift from project to project, as needed
  • Strong understanding of office productivity tools
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization
  • Strong sense of accountability, with ability to take ownership of projects and initiatives, and drive them to completion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s))
  • Significant experience in the Sales & Digital Solution Architecture
  • Knowledge level comparable to a Master's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
