Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodian III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex custodial work, including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining state hospital buildings and treatment units.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform highly complex custodial work, including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining state hospital buildings and treatment units.
• Provide housekeeping services in a clinical setting, including conducting inspections of buildings and equipment.
• Order and restock supplies and equipment, and provide backup to other custodians as needed.
• Work under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience in custodial work, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk on hard floors for extended periods.
• Ability to work harmoniously and productively with co-workers and patients.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
