Job Title: Public Health Specialist III

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Specialist III to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our HIV/STD/HCV Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit, you will play a crucial role in managing STD investigational data, including congenital syphilis, database maintenance, report tracking, data entry, interstate coordination, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate interstate communications for HIV and STD case reporting and investigation
Conduct out-of-state record searches for HIV and STD cases, including congenital syphilis
Provide technical assistance to regional and local ICCR sites for data accuracy and completeness
Assist in the development of short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals and objectives for the unit

Requirements:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with database software applications and spreadsheet software applications
Knowledge of infectious diseases, specifically HIV and STDs
