Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ABA Therapist/Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Verbal Beginnings, LLC.

Schedule and Compensation:

  • When: Sessions typically occur 3-5 days per week for 2-3 hours, most often during after school hours between 3pm-8pm.
  • Where: Sessions typically occur in the child's natural environment (in the child's home, community, and/or school).
  • Compensation: $29.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications.

Responsibilities:

  • ABA therapists work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills.
  • Collect and record data to monitor the progress of a treatment plan and work in collaboration with the clinical supervisor to update the treatment plan as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Patient, compassionate, and the desire to help children with autism achieve their goals.
  • Genuine desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
  • High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) preferred.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • All ABA therapists will be required to complete or provide proof of completion of the 40-Hour RBT course. Verbal Beginnings will provide the course to those who need to complete it.
