Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Sleep Support Specialist to join our team at Advocates. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in promoting the values, dreams, and potential of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and clean living environment, ensuring the well-being and dignity of our residents.
  • Assist residents with morning routines, including personal care and preparation for the day.
  • Provide awake coverage during emergency situations, such as fire drills or evacuations.
  • Administer medications and monitor health care needs, communicating any concerns to management.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs), ensuring consistency and quality of care.
  • Respect and promote the human rights, privacy, and confidentiality of our residents.
  • Ensure transportation needs are met, and role model appropriate behaviors and social norms.
  • Maintain open communication with colleagues through daily logs, incident reports, and staff meetings.
  • Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and supervisions, and maintain certifications as necessary.
  • Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in developmental disabilities or behavioral health, preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving status.
  • Reliable vehicle with seating for two passengers.
