  • An associate degree in a technical or electronics field, or equivalent military training, or two years of relevant experience.
  • Technical Certification (CBET) is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering context.
  • Willingness to travel as needed based on business requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills, including system administration, error code interpretation, hard drive defragmentation, power supply replacement, and code analysis.
  • Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Position Overview:

The Biomedical Equipment Technician II (BMET II) is responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and performance verification of complex biomedical equipment with minimal oversight. The technician should be adept in utilizing all necessary testing equipment and tools for these responsibilities. The BMET II may act as a technical consultant to medical and clinical personnel regarding the safe operation and usage of clinical equipment. This role also involves assisting in the development of specifications for selecting new clinical equipment.
