Role Summary

The Biomedical Technologist III is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of medical devices in our healthcare setting. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance of medical devices to meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Demonstrate mastery of skills and tasks associated with installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of complex biomedical equipment.
  • Utilize the department equipment management database to accurately record all work performed.
  • Maintain clinical equipment through effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Program.
  • Function in a team-based work environment, focusing on achievement of team-based requirements and goals.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience working as a Biomedical Technologist in a healthcare setting.
  • High School Diploma/GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or Electronic Engineering Technology (EET) certification preferred.
