Biomedical Equipment Technician II Job Description

At TriMedx, we are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician II to join our team. As a Biomedical Equipment Technician II, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of complex biomedical equipment with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical fields, such as electronics or engineering, and will be proficient in the use of test equipment and tools. You will also have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician II, you will work closely with medical and clinical staff to ensure the safe operation and use of clinical equipment. You will also assist in developing specifications for the selection of new clinical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify the performance of complex biomedical equipment
  • Work closely with medical and clinical staff to ensure the safe operation and use of clinical equipment
  • Assist in developing specifications for the selection of new clinical equipment
  • Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in biomedical equipment

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in a technical or electronics field, or equivalent military training
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment
  • Technical certification (CBET) strongly preferred
  • Complex computer skills, including the ability to administer a system, interpret error codes, defragment hard drives, replace power supplies, and interpret computer codes
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
