About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Operations Manager to join our team at Metropolis. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all airport parking operations within a designated geographic region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Growth and Operational Excellence: Develop and execute business plans to drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and financial performance across multiple airport parking facilities.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and implement best practices across the region.
  • Staff Management: Direct, manage, and coordinate the activities of location staff and contract personnel to ensure proper facility operation.
  • Financial Management: Prepare annual operating budget and ensure that the facility(s) is operating within budget perimeters.
  • Risk Management and Security: Ensure that proper revenue control discipline, risk management procedures, security, and customer service protocols are understood and being followed by all employees.
  • Client and Customer Liaison: Serve as primary liaison with the client and maintain a close relationship with key airport personnel and support personnel in CSO/NSO.
  • Facility Maintenance and Housekeeping: Ensure that the facility(s) is safe and secure and that proper location maintenance and housekeeping is performed as required.
  • Project Management: Plan and lead regular meetings with client to report on finances, operations, and on-going projects/strategies.
  • Sub-Contractor Management: Supervise the work of sub-contractors to ensure that work is done properly and per the contract.
  • Operational Planning: Coordinate and manage routine maintenance projects as well as special projects related to facility improvements.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers as needed to answer questions, investigate resolve complaints/violations, and to improve customer satisfaction levels.
  • Security Vigilance: Monitor and review audit results to maintain security vigilance over possible employee theft and/or inefficiencies.
  • Accident and Damage Claims: Monitor and review all accidents and damage claims to establish remedial plans or programs to prevent the occurrence or reoccurrence of similar claims.
  • Expense Review and Approval: Review and approve location expenses.
  • Regional Goals and Objectives: Participate in the development of regional financial and operational goals and is responsible for meeting determined goals.
  • Customer Acquisition: Lead the customer acquisition initiatives at the airport by providing digital marketing strategies and staying abreast of technological solutions that improve the customer experience and/or the efficiency of airport operations.
  • Competitive Market Analysis: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitive (off-airport) markets and of competitors' strategies within the assigned region.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Valid State-Issued Driver's License
  • Airport Issued (FBI Clearance) Badge
  • At Least 5 Years of Airport Parking Experience
  • Previous Oversight of Multiple Direct Reports
  • Strong Computer Skills
  • Prior Experience Working with Parking Access and Revenue Control Systems
  • General Understanding of Financial Statements and Accounting & Budgeting Skills
  • Strong Leadership Skills and Ability to Delegate Work Effectively
  • Excellent Follow-Up, Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Ability to Handle a Variety of Tasks and Manage Them to Established Deadlines
