We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to provide comprehensive support to the Academic and Career Advising, Transfer Student Services, and Academic Support departments at Methodist University. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling appointments, managing schedules, and ensuring adequate office supplies, among other key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination
    • Schedule advising appointments for students
    • Manage weekly schedules for professional and student employees, ensuring coverage and addressing scheduling conflicts
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist with accounting tasks, including fund allocations and budget tracking
    • Process travel reimbursements, invoices, p-card, and other expenses
    • Coordinate office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and placing orders as needed
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Communicate registration information to the student population
    • Assist new students and their families with the Monarch Way onboarding process
  • Supervision and Team Management
    • Supervise student employees in the One Stop
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Minimum of 2 years relevant administrative experience required, 5 years preferred; or equivalent level of education and experience
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
    • Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines
    • Advanced computer skills with demonstrated experience using Microsoft 365, including Excel
