Job Summary:

The Veterinary Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional pet care at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of the hospital team, you will support and assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to pets, while maintaining a safe and clean environment for all.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in performing medical procedures and exams
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs to ensure a clean and organized environment
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other team members to provide exceptional customer service
  • Help maintain the flow of patients and ensure a smooth workflow
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as updating client records and processing payments
Requirements:
  • Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to perform all required skills of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant programs at a level that aids in the efficiency of the practice
