Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our Patient Access Services Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient registration and coordination of front-end activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and prioritize patient registration activities from pre-registration through discharge.
  • Ensure optimal reimbursement and minimize financial risk to patients and the hospital.
  • Maintain thorough understanding of insurance, registration, scheduling, referrals, authorizations, and account follow-up.
  • Stay up-to-date on multiple department system applications and adhere to all state and federal regulations.
  • Obtain necessary signatures and scan relevant documents.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of healthcare-related or customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers (HMO, PPO) preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree may be accepted in lieu of experience.
  • Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred.
