We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registration Associate to join our team at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. As a key member of our patient access team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and billing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Interviews and Registers Patients: Conduct thorough interviews with patients and families to obtain accurate demographic and financial information, ensuring all necessary questionnaires and forms are completed.
- Verifies Insurance Coverage: Confirms insurance coverage and obtains authorizations as required, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Collects and Posts Deposits: Explains regulatory financial requirements to patients or responsible parties and collects or posts deposits or deductible amounts as necessary.
- Supports Appeals Department: Assists the Appeals department in providing information to overturn claims denials.
- Maintains Patient Confidentiality: Initiates and executes daily medical record maintenance, ensuring patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Provides Administrative Support: Performs various administrative duties to ensure efficient daily business operations, including scheduling, chart creation, and supply management.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: One year of experience in registration or a related clinical discipline preferred.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to multitask, and proficiency in patient registration systems and insurance verification systems.
- College Degree: Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Patient Account Representative (CPAR) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) certification preferred.
