SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, this role is responsible for accurately processing customer orders in a timely manner to ensure satisfaction. The primary focus is on fulfilling orders for clients and promoting Genuine Parts Company's offerings. This position involves significant interaction at the customer’s location.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage inventory levels for Consignment clients by ordering necessary items.
  • Source products from branch inventory, Distribution Center, or supplier stock.
  • Facilitate the identification and sale of Genuine Parts Company's assets, including locating products when necessary.
  • Impact Gross Profit by negotiating sales and purchase prices within defined parameters.
  • Proactively drive sales by promoting Genuine Parts Company's products to current clients.
  • Expedite backorders and prepare shipments for customers as needed.
  • Handle customer returns and process orders up to specified financial limits without prior approval.
  • Adjust pricing for non-contract customers to meet competitive demands while maximizing profitability.
  • Minimize freight costs by selecting the most cost-effective fulfillment methods for customer orders.
  • Engage with customers to accurately fulfill orders and liaise with suppliers for pricing inquiries.
  • Collaborate with Account Representatives to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Assist customers by troubleshooting issues via phone or email and identifying the correct parts.
  • Participate in training sessions to foster professional growth and development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and take orders through various communication methods.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Moderate computer proficiency, including information processing and effective communication via email and business systems.
  • Good driving record is necessary.
  • Reliability, organizational skills, and attention to detail are crucial.
