Job Title: Pastry Sous Chef

Per Se, a renowned restaurant in the Deutsche Bank Center at Columbus Circle, seeks a skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our pastry department, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality pastries and desserts, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Pastry Chefs to develop and implement new pastry recipes and menus.
  • Supervise and train pastry team members to ensure consistent quality and presentation of pastries and desserts.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve pastry production efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless execution of pastry orders.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end restaurant or bakery.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of pastry production techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
