Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Project Engineer to join our team in Redmond, WA. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will play a critical role in supporting fish habitat enhancement and other transportation projects throughout Western Washington.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare permit-level drawings using Microstation or AutoCAD
  • Design temporary sediment and erosion control (TESC) plans
  • Prepare temporary stream bypass plans
  • Calculate storage requirements for temporary stormwater treatment
  • Assist with field work, including fish exclusion, wetland delineation, and tree studies
  • Monitor streams post-construction
  • Draft permit documents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Strong academic background with a focus on environmental engineering principles
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Effective communication and report drafting skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Microstation for drafting and design
  • Experience with fish passage restoration projects in the Western Washington region
  • Familiarity with MGS flood, Rational Method, or similar methods of determining flow rates and stormwater storage
