Position Details
This role is situated in a dynamic environment, where you will engage in the design and development of advanced systems and products aimed at enhancing long-term care solutions. Key responsibilities include:
  • Creating biological computer simulations.
  • Developing systems for physiological measurement, motion capture, gait analysis, and sensor data processing.
  • Participating in various full-time, multi-year research and development initiatives supported by national health organizations.

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in biomechanical or biomedical research, demonstrating a passion for engineering and science. An advanced degree in Biomechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is essential.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Tensorflow, PyTorch, and CUDA.
  • Familiarity with deep learning tools and methodologies applicable to 3D computer graphics and animation.
  • Experience with sensor technologies, particularly millimeter wave sensors.
  • A record of relevant research and publications.
  • Capability to develop innovative techniques and infrastructure from concept to prototype and product.
  • Experience with cloud computing environments and multi-machine configurations.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, small-team setting, tackling intricate problems independently or with guidance.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a knack for real-world innovation.
  • A PhD in Biomechanical or Biomedical Engineering is preferred, though advanced degrees in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical or Computer Engineering with relevant experience will also be considered.
